Not abandoned, just really really really slow progress with the updates. The new version should already be in the testing phase.

I hope the long waiting is worth it. I really like this game just like Dream of Desire which I even bought on steam. but yeah... I can understand ppl are pissed cus this really takes way too long to support them on patreon. thats why I only buy the games on steam when they are completed.

I explain below why I put Milfy City as being more "FAMOUS" before DoD, or whichever my idea was about it, as this is just subjective to each observer.
That wasn't a graph of "historically accurate release dates", but more of "FAME" or "GLORY" of my perception of these games.

Nah man, he's right. DoD started first, fact. MP released Feb 2019, fact. Since I don't remember the exact end of DoD, we can infer that DoD probably finished Q2 of 2018 due to needing to fit in the Lost chapters and remaining MP development. That would put Milfy City at version 2 or 3 when DoD finished. Back before the milking, 1 year was way after. Most projects finished 1-2 years.

Maybe because I played Milfy City first than DoD, or whichever the reason, there is literally no dates thrown in or any speculation of which started first, but rather a very "broad stroke", using a "broad brush" to illustrate my opinion on the "relative history" of these games.
The way I look at it, and this is going to be different for different observers, Milfy City was king (maybe hyped more because of ICSTOR's precious work), then followed those games (whether they started around same time or not, as being better).
Notice that the release date is one thing, another thing is when the game "establishes" itself in the eyes of the observer. Maybe because ICSTOR was famous to me, I have this image of Milfy City as being stronger before DoD became stronger. To me.
Or maybe because DoD's graphics are better (to me) than Milfy City, maybe that is the biggest reason I understood it to predate DoD...
Anyways, the graph I made is just an illustration of what I saw as the best games and their sequence of, let's say, "FAME".

We are talking back to 2016.-way,way before the work on Milfy City started.
Actually on the time the work on DOD started,ICSTOR was at the beginning of Milf's Villa.So not even close to Milfy City.
It feels like this Dev works one day a week. It would be understandable if he is not doing this full time but he is.

I don't think the update is coming this month. Actually I feel that Dr.Sin is pretty comfortable with the "one update a year".
There hasn't been an update for a year, and now it's obvious that there won't be one.

I think the update will come out eventually. Most likely around March/April. But it is clear that he lost interest in it and looking at other examples here he will abandon the project all together after this update. After that, milking mode will commence for another year or two.

Given there's no news about the update I presume Dr. Sin is going to write he found a wormhole, went through it, managed somehow to come back but when he did he forgot his laptop on the other side so he now has to rewrite last months of code, and render again the trillion images the 0.17 is going to have. Am I right?
Or the laptop was stolen by a guy called Saolo996, that pretended he came out of a whore hole.

11 months now, almost a year and nothing later, some sponsor swears at him on patreon and gets angry, I would say that the abandonment label suits him perfectly
